We went to the water park tonight, and had only been there about half an hour when Seth fell and cut his chin on one of the slides. He was trying to hurry and go down the slide before me (even though he knows he always has to go after me so I can catch him in case he goes down face first, backwards, etc). Anyway, he slipped and cried a little, but seemed fine so we went down the slide. He went down again, and this time I noticed he had a little bit of blood dripping down his chest. I checked his face, neck, and chin, and sure enough he had a gaping cut on his chin. Elijah and Daddy stayed at the water park, and Seth and I headed to the ER. We had to wait awhile to be seen by the admitting nurse, and the whole time Seth kept asking to go back to the water park. After been seen by the admitting nurse, and being sent back to the waiting room, Seth thought we were done and threw a big fit when I told him we had to stay. After another 10 minutes or so, we were taken back by the nurse. She put some numbing gel on a gauze pad, and taped it to his chin. This made it so much easier to keep him occupied while keeping the gauze on-when Elijah got his stitches they had me hold the guaze on his face. Much easier to distract two busy hands when you don't have to hold something on their face! After a while the doctor came in, and said we could glue his wound with dermabond because it was a straight cut. They put a pillow under Seth so that his head was lower than his chest, making his chin easy to get to, and had me lay on Seth's check and hold his hands, which allowed me to talk to him through the whole thing. He screamed through the entire gluing, though I was able to ask him questions and get him to scream a little less. The doctor and nurse thought it was funny that he would scream and answer my question and go right back to screaming. They were also impressed that I knew all the answers to his questions :) I asked him things like did he want M&Ms or Skittles as a treat for being such a good boy (Skittles), what color bug juice did he want (Red), should we get Elijah a treat too (yes), and where should we go eat supper (Space Aliens). Since Chris and Elijah were still swimming, and Seth can't swim for 5-10 days, he and I went to Space Aliens to eat supper (we go to the ER at 6:20 and left at 7:40) and play games.
Here's Seth's chin-notice he's smiling for the picture... :)

Still a very happy boy!

He was loving posing for me-that never happens!

RAWR!!

He let Mommy get in on some picture too :
