It has been a LONG time since I've given an update on the boys, so here it goes!
Elijah has moved up to 3T clothes, and weighs 27lbs 6oz and is 36" tall. He is still not potty trained, but knows when he has to go to the bathroom. We did have one great day back in September where he went pee at Kim's, and then did again at home. That's the only time he's ever gone on the potty though-not sure what the deal is. Elijah is still a picky eater, and isn't really a fan of most meat. His favorite foods are peanut butter and jelly, mac 'n' cheese, pancakes, waffles, poptarts, and summer sausage. He loves sports, though his favorite is still basketball. He's developed a love for volleyball and now plays that at home-probably because we have been going to all of the home volleyball games. He loves to read books, color, play trains and legos, and watch Blues Clues, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Thomas the Tank Engine. Elijah talks ALL THE TIME. He's become extremely inquisitive, and asks why all the time. He's a lot of fun to have a conversation with-I enjoy his company! :)
Seth is finally in 18 month clothes (about time since he's 21 months old!). At 19 months he weighed 20lbs 12oz and was 31" tall. His measurements are consistently a little smaller than Elijah's at the same age-poor kid! It's crazy that Seth is so small given how much he eats though-he is definitely not a picky eater! He eats way more than Elijah most meals-it's crazy! He is always on the move though, and isn't quite as content as Elijah to sit still and color or read books for hours on end. Seth's language has really exploded the past couple months, and he puts sentences together on a regular basis. Listening to Seth and Elijah talk to each other is adorable, and very entertaining! Seth likes Elmo, Thomas, Mickey Mouse, and Blues Clues. He loves to play trains, which causes a fight or two every day because Elijah doesn't always want to share. Out of the two boys, Seth is definitely the better sharer.
The boys love to be outside, so hopefully this winter will bring nice weather! Last winter I think we made it outside twice after it snowed. The boys are still going to daycare at Kim's, and loving it. Elijah is excited to go to school though, and tells me that he's 3 now, but will be 6 next year so he can go to school. He can count past ten so he knows number order, but that apparently doesn't apply to him and getting older. He thinks school is sitting in Mommy's classroom and playing drums-boy is he going to be disappointed when he finally does get to go!
Oh yeah-Elijah is back in Gymnastics. He did a Mommy & Me type class in GF this summer, and absolutely loved it. We are trying gymnastics here in Grafton, and so far he seems okay with it. GF was recreational and this is more performance driven, so we'll see what he thinks of it later on. He will get to perform at two home basketball games this spring, and I will definitely record those! Poor Seth wants to do gymnastics really bad, and was trying to take off his shoes while he and I were waiting for Elijah during gymnastics. This summer Seth, I promise!!
Well that's all for now-I will try to update more often but with school back in full swing life gets crazy!
